MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Manage the day to day relationship with our third-party logistics provider to ensure smooth running of the operation and facilitate on time in full delivery of orders to our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance

Ensuring stock availability at third party warehouse to meet customer orders.

Accurate and timely allocation of stock to orders and subsequent invoicing

People

Be the first point of contact for our third-party logistics provider on all aspects of the 3PL operation.

Liaise with internal members of the warehouse and operations team to ensure timely movement of stock between site and the external warehouse

Liaise with co-packers and our sister plants to arrange delivery of third party produced stock.

Organisational

Arrange movement of stock between internal and external warehouse

Transfer of stock on internal systems

Transfer of orders to third party logistics provider

Issuing required documentation in accordance with HMRC using in house and HMRC systems. Creating the required HMRC certification as required.

Ensure company process and government and legislative compliance for all movement of goods between partner warehouses.

Arranging transport for collection of stock from co-packers and sister plants

Financial

Allocating stock to and invoicing 3PL orders

Generate purchase orders for storage and transport costs from 3PL

Communications & Reporting

Maintain and circulate 3PL performance and financial KPIs

Attend as required internal and external meetings with 3PL provider

General & Attributes

Take on additional duties as and when required, within sphere of expertise, to support the business objective to provide exemplary service to customers and colleagues.

Excellent organisational skills and an ability to work under own initiative and often with tight deadlines are a prerequisite
