We’re looking for talented Skilled CNC Machinists to work for our client.
They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience in CNC Milling, CNC Turning and CNC and/ or Manual Grinding including Cylindrical and Surface Grinding machinery.

As the Skilled CNC Machinist, you will be primarily responsible for setting and operating CNC milling ( horizontal and vertical), turning or grinding machinery.
In the job, you’ll be tasked with the following:
– Health and safety of yourself and others
– Producing high quality components to exacting standards
– Reading and understanding engineering drawings
– Setting and running parts to planned time
– Continuous improvement of methods and working practices
– High housekeeping standards
The ideal candidate for this Skilled CNC Machinist role will have relevant experience of setting and operating CNC machines under minimal supervision.
You’ll also need experience of using Mazatrol, Fanuc or Heidenhain CNC control systems
Plus, it’s vital that you’ve got experience of operating machinery in a precision engineering environment.
In addition, you’ll need the following:
– A time served background in milling, turning or grinding
– Must be able to work alone and use their initiative
– Excellent problem-solving skills

Basic salary: £10.00 – £14.00 per hour, dependent on experience
Temporary to permanent or permanent contracts.
Shift allowance is dependent on hours of work, paid up to 33%
25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
For Millers and Turners, 12 hours weekend day shifts: Friday- Sunday.
For Grinders: Days 6:30am- 4:30pm or Nights 4:00pm- 2:00am: Monday- Thursday.
Due to a high volume of work in our client’s order book, regular overtime is available for Grinders, either by working extra hours after your shifts or by working extra days on a Friday and/ or Saturday.
Overtime is paid up to 30%, dependent on hours of work.
