Offline CNC Programmer with EDGECAM CAD/CAM experience required ASAP for a permanent position in the Knutsford Area. The salary is up to £32,500 DoE + Bens. The basic working week is 37.5 hours, Mon to Fri 8:00am – 4:30pm with hybrid working available upon successful completion of training.

Job Purpose: To generate programs to produce components on in-house CNC machines.
The successful Offline CNC Programmer (EDGECAM) day to day duties will include:
- Produce programs for in house CNC manufactured items from drawings received from Design Engineers.
- Inform Design Engineers of billet sizes for BOM purposes for tooling.
Ensure CNC programs are available for release to the machine operator through DNC link. - Produce Pro-Report drawing for use by machine operator.
- Liaise with shop floor to relay accurate machining information.
- Assist the Design Team where appropriate.
- Ensure that all documentation is maintained on a day to day basis.
- Ensure that all information is stored in the appropriate manner
- Assist colleagues and customers with problems that arise offering practical and appropriate solutions.
- Deal professionally, competently and courteously with customers and colleagues in verbal and written communications.
- Support the Production Office Coordinator in monitoring and maintaining schedules and plans to

The ideal Offline CNC Programmer (EDGECAM) will have the following experience / characteristics:
- Completed relevant engineering apprenticeship such as a CNC / Manual machinist, Toolmaker, Mechanical Engineer.
- Recent experience of using Hexagon’s EDGECAM CADCAM offline CNC programming software
- Previous experience of setting and operating CNC Milling machines.
- Able to read engineering drawings and use had held dimensional measuring equipment.
- Must have undertaken formal training in CNC programming
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Highly motivated and keen to succeed.
- Attended training courses run by relevant software / machine manufacturers (advantageous)
- PTC / Creo (Pro-Manufacture or Pro-Engineer) programming experience (advantageous)
- Experience of manufacturing components, jigs and fixtures in a variety of metals to fine tolerances (advantageous)
