Customer Service Advisor Service Department Advisor

Working for this specialist, successful manufacturing business the role is within their Service Department. The purpose of the role is to provide high quality support and technical guidance over the phone to customers, installers and internal sales representatives.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting current customers
  • Contacting and notifying customers of any potential issues
  • Trouble shooting any issues with customers
  • Answering any queries or requests customers may have
  • Providing cost related reports with detailed explanations
  • Supporting Mobile Service Engineers and Installers
  • Relaying information and guidance to make a task or project run smoothly

The company provides an excellent training and development programme to advance all employees knowledge and expertise to a high level of support for you to be able to carry out the following:

  • Provide written and verbal instructions, clearly, to any engineer working on a task
  • Understand engineer drawings and diagrams and make calculations based on these diagrams.
  • Relaying the findings correctly and accurately.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to engineers
  • Project manage tasks from start to finish with the end result of customer satisfaction at the forefront of the task
  • Supporting Sale Representatives

Minimum Requirements

We are looking for a self-starter, who can show initiative, has an eagerness to learn and wants to grow and develop themselves as an expert in a growing field. There is a lot of technical information to learn, understand and utilise during the role. A graduate from a mechanical engineering or technical degree or similar would be beneficial, however not essential, as full training is provided. Experience in customer service, again would be beneficial, however someone with a confident, polite phone manner and adaptable personality to deal with differing people is key to the role.
