GPW are recruiting for a Diesel Plant Fitter on behalf of our client, based in the Widnes area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a skilled activity in the routine maintenance of heavy plant machinery. The main duties of the post involve carrying out repairs to plant machinery when necessary.
Experience of working in a similar role for a minimum of 3 years, hands on experience at carrying out repairs on plant equipment such as excavators, loading shovels and generators are essential requirements for applicants.
Qualifications and Essentials required:
Full Driving Licence
Appreciation of Health & Safety Legislation
Appreciation of handling vehicles, plant, equipment & materials
Ideally completed a relevant apprenticeship ( desirable)
Abilities
Ability to communicate at all levels including customers
Ability to plan/organise work and follow plans, processes and procedures
Ability to carry out the relevant knowledge/skills to an acceptable level of output and quality.
Your availability to work either immediately, or at short notice.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

- Monday- Friday 07:00- 17:00, Saturday 07:00- 12:00, plus overtime when required.
