Electrical Calibration Engineer/Technician

The Role:

In the Electrical Calibration Engineer/Technician role you will be primarily responsible for undertaking various calibrations both ISO9001/17025 accredited in accordance with company procedures, UKAS regulations and recognised specifications. You will also be responsible for maintaining relevant records of work, data and results in a traceable and auditable manner utilizing EMS management systems.

Specific tasks include:

– Performing calibration of customer equipment using approved procedures and good metrology practice.

– Calibration of electrical measuring instrumentation to national standards.

– Participating in UKAS and customer surveillance and accreditation audits.

– Providing technical support to colleagues on request in line with capability.

– Conducting all duties in accordance with company health and safety procedures and policies.

– Undertaking additional responsibilities as required by the role and relevant career level.

This is based in Derby.

The Candidate:

To be the right person for Electrical Calibration Engineer/Technician role you will need direct experience of calibrating electrical measuring instrumentation to national standards.

We also need you to have prior experience of:

– Calibration practices and theories.

– A customer focused environment.

– Understanding/interpreting circuit diagrams.

It’s important that you also have the following:

– A technical qualification such as degree, HND, HNC or a BTEC.

– Knowledge of BS EN ISO/IEC 17025.

– Good interpersonal and communication skills.

– The ability to work with the minimum of supervision and manage your own workload.

The Package:

The basic salary for the Electrical Calibration Engineer/Technician role is between £25,000 – £35,000 per annum.
