Working for this specialist manufacturing business, the Maintenance Engineer will need to be multi skilled in electrical and mechanical (50/50 if possible).
You’ll work in a small workshop, the company are also provide repairs involving welding and turning so any experience in this is also a massive bonus.
Conversant in hydraulics and pneumatics, the Maintenance Engineer should be used to fault finding on plc driven machinery i.e. sensor faults tracing etc. and be able to follow electrical and mechanical drawings.
As the Maintenance Engineer you’ll work with a unique product which is expensive to produce so rejects must be always kept to a minimum. The engineers on site do daily line changes, the actual changing over of the line is quite physical and does require a relatively fit engineer.
The Maintenance Engineer will also be mentoring an apprentice who is now used to set ups etc on the line.
This is a very niche, family business where everyone is important, they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer who will happy to always cover maintenance of machines as that’s the role on a Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. The Friday is every week and at least every other Saturday to keep on top of the machines.
You’ll work a 40 hour week, the hours for the Maintenance Engineer will be dependent on work and at the discretion of the Engineering Manager. Holidays start on 20 days + bank holidays and build up to 25 days after 5 years the
