Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Middleton, Manchester
Duration: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: Up to £32,234 dependent on experience.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday days with flexibility on working pattern
We are seeking talented Mechanical Engineers to join our clients ever-growing team on a permanent basis. As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll work in a workshop team providing high-quality services to customers in the paper industry. Your role will involve the setup, disassembly, inspection, repair, and re-assembly of small, medium, and large paper machine rolls.

Requirements for the Mechanical Fitter role:
Working as part of a talented workshop team to provide high-quality services to customers who expect nothing less than excellence from the leading full-line supplier to the paper industry, the key requirements of the role will involve the setup, disassembly, inspection, repair and re-assembly small, medium and large paper machine rolls.
Experience in mechanical roll service is desirable but a full training programme will be given to those with fitting experience from other industries.
Ideal candidate for the Mechanical Fitter role:
- Formal engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC, or similar)
- Strong numerical, and computer skills
- Flexibility and reliability
- Team player and an effective communicator
