Planner – Civils & Infrastructure

My client are a highly regarded tier one main contractor that have recently set up a new division and brought their civils and infrastructure works in house, they have an opportunity for an experienced Planner to join their team on a permanent basis.

Previous experience working as a Planner within the Civil Engineering and Infrastructure sector on large scale Infrastructure projects, such as Highways, Industrial, Earthworks and Rail schemes is essential.

Key Skills / Experience / Duties

As Project Planner you will update and manage the construction programme to support on time delivery

Continually review and develop the preferred construction sequence considering project wide constraints to confirm the duration in the overall scheme schedule.

Combine the Pre-Construction and Construction Schedules, including follow on activities such as Handover.

Produce and maintain the overall Project Schedule, reviewing and updating this regularly with the Clients Project Lead and other key stakeholders.

Creating programmes of work to NEC3/NEC4 and JCT contract requirements

Arrange, facilitate and provide output from client and supply chain collaborative planning sessions

Cost load the schedule

Generate Earned Value Analysis from the cost loaded schedule.

Monthly updating of the schedule and reports required.

Update and analyse the schedule based on the effects of Compensation events or other events which may affect the current plan

A solid track record of planning civils projects with solid P6 or ASTA capability backed up with onsite civil engineering experience
