Quality Officer

As the Quality Officer for this specialist manufacturer you will further enhance the reputation of their products, driving their quality systems and procedures in order to deliver the highest quality products to customers.

Their products are designed and manufactured ( welded, fabricated and assembled ) on site. You’ll introduce new procedures that will take the products to the next level by introducing positive change.

Key tasks will include

  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes are carried out in accordance with the Quality Manual
  • Ensure that all quality manufacturing processes are displayed on the shop floor and also maintained in line with the quality manual
  • Maintain and improve the quality manual and write and implement new procedures and processes for continuous improvement
  • Carry out shop floor audits and checks
  • Accurately record and analyse trends in quality issues and report these issues to the Exec team in a timely manner including resolution to these issues.
  • Discuss resolutions concerning quality issues with the relevant departments
  • Ensure at all records and procedures are kept up to date in order to satisfy the requirements of approval bodies whom inspect these records against the quality manual.
  • To ensure that all product returned under warranty is fully investigated/recorded and the appropriate actions carried out in accordance with the quality manual and to ensure timely feedback/resolutions are provided as required.
  • To train personnel in any areas that would improve the overall quality of products, including advice to customers as required.
  • To notify the Board of Directors of any quality related safety issues and to resolve these issues urgently.
  • To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with the current H&S Requirements.
  • To perform any other duties deemed appropriate for the quality role.

You’ll need experience of operating quality management systems and procedures in a high volume production environment. Occasional customer visits may be required in order to assess quality issues and reach resolutions.
