I am currently working on behalf of my truly global client based just outside Bristol.

An exciting role has arisen within their wholesale operations sector for an experienced Supervisor, reporting to the Regional Manager. The purpose of the role is to support the Regional Manager of the UK Wholesale Branch in ascertaining the highest standards of business performance. The main responsibilities for this role are;


  • Receiving deliveries into Branch, putting stock away in the correct location
  • Picking Customer orders and loading relevant vehicles in accordance with a delivery schedule
  • Quality Control
  • Undertake and maintain good housekeeping, ensuring that all areas are kept clean, clear and free from hazard or obstruction
  • Perform stock takes as and when required


  • Process customer enquiries and process customer orders
  • Process Branch Banking on a regular basis in line with Company procedures
  • Assist the Customer Services Team as required


  • Ensure glass is delivered in a suitable condition and in a timely manner to the intended destination
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times in both presence and driving style


  • Continuously develop a safe working attitude amongst employees and deliver the safety standards for the site
  • Identify training requirements for employees to ensure the highest possible standards of customer service to our customers
  • Work with the Regional Manager to improve business with current customers
  • Ensure that the sites are run within the costs budget as outlined by the Regional Manager
  • Ensure site processes such as stock takes and holiday plans are maintained and understood so as to avoid any unnecessary expense within the business and lost sales
  • Ensure that all issues such as breakages & scratches are understood such as to avoid unnecessary cost and lost sales
  • Identify and lead any site improvement projects agreed to by the business
  • Support to other sites as and when required
  • Project work identified and agreed to by the Regional Manager


Should hold a full driving licence. Will have experience in a supervisory role, with good IT skills and the ability to use Outlook, Word and Excel. Strong SAP knowledge is also required. A good knowledge of the automotive industry and products would also be advantageous. You should also have the ability to drive progress and overcome barriers to deliver results. Have excellent attention to detail and be highly data rational and a constructive problem solver. Will have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and have strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills, as well as good interpersonal skills allowing interactions at all levels of the business.
