We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner with experience of working within a transport planning consultancy, ideally at either a Senior Transport Planner or Principal Transport Planner level, for a permanent staff position in the Liverpool area. Salary level of circa £35-45,000 per annum depending on experience plus 25 days’ holidays plus statutory, pension and healthcare insurance.
Working as the successful Transport Planner your experience will ideally include:
*Familiarity with at least one of Junctions 9, LinSig, AutoCAD, GIS, TEMPro, TRICS or Excel.
*Experienced of managing projects.
*You be confident in working effectively within a wider project team.
*You will also benefit from experience in managing strong client relationships.
The Transport Planner role will typically involve:
*Liaising with commercial developers, local authorities, town-planners and architects.
*The mentoring of junior members of the team and supporting their development is also a key element of the role.
*You will be required to produce Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans and the Transport Chapters of EIA’s and generally support development projects through the planning process.
*Post submission negotiations with Local Highway authorities.
*A track record in business development would be preferred but not essential.
The client that we are supplying this Transport Planner to, work on projects across the UK predominantly for private sector clients. You’ll be given the opportunity to further develop with support from senior staff and will be able to manage your own projects, engage with clients and join in business development activities.
