We are pleased to announce that we have continued our sponsorship of local professional golfer James Robinson and have launched his very own website: www.jamesrobinsongolf.com
“We are very proud to be sponsoring James for another year. We wanted also to show our support by setting up his website so that supporters can follow his progress and also find out a little bit more about James as he plays around Europe.” comments Gary Ward, Operations Manager.
James started playing at the age of twelve when his father introduced him to the game. Having instantly developed a keen interest in it he joined Gathurst Golf Club. James was taught to play golf for the two opening years of his promising career until he showed such a standard he required professional coaching at the age of fourteen. He eventually turned professional himself with a handicap of +3.9 in September 2010 after winning a Europro event at Staley Hill.
Interestingly, James was the first amateur golfer to have achieved professional status on this Europro Tour. As an amateur golfer James won various junior championships and in 2008 he was selected to represent the England Under 21 Squad. In 2009 he was promoted to the top flight England Squad.
James now plays at Southport and Ainsdale Golf Course.
He is currently playing on the European Challenge Tour, but has played a couple of European Tour Tournaments, he expects in a few years time to be a regular on the European Tour.
