Getting the guidance right around AWR regulations is crucial, according to the Association of Professional Service Companies (APSCo).
The Association of Recruitment Consultants (ARC) said yesterday (20 April) that “it does not accept that the option of waiting for guidance, as has been suggested to be the way forwards, is one that will assist since it will not change the law. It is the words in the regulations that make organisations liable, and no amount of guidance will remove that”.
Marilyn Davidson, director of APSCo, told Recruiter: “The guidance may not change the law, but it will form the basis for compliance with that law. The wording of the guidance will have a massive bearing on how easy it is for recruiters to ensure they comply fully with the ARW. At this stage in the negotiations getting the guidance right is of paramount importance.”
