Launched in 2006 the aim of National Sports Week is to motivate pupils to do more sport by celebrating and profiling all that’s been achieved in PE at school, and also to launch new sports activities.
GPW Recruitment were proud to be able to support National Sports Week at St Aiden’s C of E Primary School in Billinge.
As personal sponsors of Paul Wellens GPW organised for him to be present at the school to do a Q & A session with the St Aiden’s “Tag Rugby” team who have had a very successful year. Also at the event was Paul Sculthorpe, ex-Saint and Great Britain captain with his personal sponsor Premier Sports.
Both Wello and Scully proved to be good sports at the event as they talked about sport in general and how team work helps in sporting activities and everyday life. They also showed their hand at a game of basketball which proved entertaining for the children. Pictures and autographs were in abundance and the whole event was captured by local photographer Bernard Platt.
