After the panic and pandemonium of what could occur to the UK’s job market and its occupants post Brexit.
Research from HR trade body the CIPD shows that following June’s referendum on the UK’s EU membership, 70% of employers reported having received concerns from staff about job security or the right to work in the UK.
Other than those still in work, since Brexit there have been 1.36 million jobs uploaded to job boards since the referendum with almost a third of which being new roles. Even though the job market felt the uncertainty with a fall of 700,000 adverts the week after Brexit the amount of brand jobs now being uploaded easily outweighs that drop in adverts.
So it seems the recruitment industry hasn’t suffered greatly from the effects of Brexit!
