We are looking for a Manufacturing / Fabrication Draughtsperson with architectural metalwork and secondary steelwork experience for a temporary to permanent position in the Rochdale area. Pay rate of £35-45000 per annum depending on experience.
Working as the successful Manufacturing / Fabrication Draughtsperson, you will not be designing, but you will be developing out Architect and Structural Engineering drawings and providing manufacturing drawings for operations. You need excellent Architectural Metal experience and good 2D AutoCAD experience. If you also have 3D skills as well this would be an advantage – AutoCAD 3D, Solidworks, Tekla or similar – but it is not essential.
The Manufacturing / Fabrication Draughtsperson position is not highly technical work. It could suit either an experienced Draughtsperson or someone with workshop/hands-on welding and fabrication experience and CAD ability who is looking to change direction slightly and produce the manufacturing drawings now rather than do the fabrication. You will have experience of things such as handrails, balastrades and staircases. You will go to site, measure up then produce the drawings.
Main roles, responsibilities and requirements:
*Create 2D drawings and/or 3D Models to create Fabrication Packages.
*Site survey visits (vehicle supplied for work purposes).
*Liaise with other areas of the business to ensure projects are completed on time.
*This is not highly technical work, the successful candidates will have a background in general fabrication and Engineering.
*Most important is the drive and desire to move forward in your career.
*CAD software skills.
