Senior Sales Engineer (Proposals/Tenders/Quotations)

GPW are recruiting a Senior Sales Engineer with a focus on tendering/quotation/proposals for a leading specialist engineering/manufacturing company based in Knutsford. It’s a permanent position reporting directly into the Sales Manager and the successful candidate will be expected to put together technically and commercial attractive quotations.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond verbally and/or in writing to all customer enquiries in a professional manner, compile bid to customer requirements/instructions, to meet or exceed customer bid submission date. Monitoring the quotation process in conjunction with other departments, coordinating and feeding back potential issues to the Internal Sales Coordinator.
  • Technically review customer’s enquiry, with the assistance of the appropriate departments mainly engineering to ensure customer’s needs are met, whilst offering products which are both economically and technically viable.
  • Assist the Internal Sales Coordinator with accurate reports when required on key orders received, key projects quoted, outstanding quotations and priorities.
  • Report issues on quotation, orders, cancellations and warranty problems to the Internal Sales Coordinator as they arise.

Skills/experience required

  • Previous experience a in a similar position, providing technical quotations
  • An understanding of engineering

The pay:

The salary on offer for the role is negotiable dependent on experience.
